We are producers and have our own micro-mill. This means we control the quality of our coffee from cultivation to your cup.
Don Cayito coffee is grown in the Tarrazú coffee region of Costa Rica, particularly in Santa María de Dota. Our coffee plantations are located between 1650 and 2100 meters above sea level on a fortunate blend of steep slopes that shield the crops from the Atlantic climate but allow the Pacific Ocean breeze, with abundant sunshine throughout the day.

Don Cayito Coffee has its roots in a family. We are the Calderón Castillo family from Santa María de Dota, Costa Rica. We were born and raised in this land of exceptional coffee growers and have cultivated coffee for generations.
In 2009, we decided to embark on the adventure of building a micro-mill to process our own coffee and focus on quality. This is how our micro-mill, Los Ángeles, also located in Santa María de Dota, came to be.
Our Policy
Don Cayito Coffee Roasters S.A. is a company dedicated to roasted, ground and whole bean coffee. We are committed to offering our customers safe coffee of the highest quality. To achieve this, we have competent personnel and provide ongoing training. We communicate effectively, both internally and externally, promote continuous process improvement and comply with our customers’ requirements, as well as applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
We focus on evaluating and improving the culture of food safety and quality, effective food defense and the prevention of food fraud.
We contribute to the prevention and reduction of food loss and waste.
